The Film

A woman nears her breaking point, running out of patience, time and options.

Vivian Ellis has made a mistake, and has to face the consequences. She decides to try to make amends, but things don't go quite as she planned.

Vivian suffers from chronic, severe, and sometimes crippling depression. She’s sought professional help for years, and has built a good connection with one of her psychiatrists. At a young age, she found herself without a family: her mother passed away during childbirth and her father, a police officer, was killed in the line of duty. Vivian was lucky to find refuge when Georgia, a single mother, adopted her into her family of herself and her daughter. Georgia’s recent death sent her into another spiral of crippling depression: so much so that she couldn’t bring herself to attend her adopted mother’s funeral. She can still barely eat or sleep, although it’s gotten easier since the initial shock of her passing. Seemingly unable to get herself out of this valley despite her best efforts, Vivian turns to the last person she holds dear: Keira.

Keira is an only child, raised by a single mother. The two of them got by and did okay for themselves. When Keira found out she was going to have another girl living with her and her mother, she was hesitant at first, but soon the two hit it off. They went everywhere together, attached at the hip, and enjoyed all the same things: riding bikes, playing in the park, climbing trees and making small forts from blankets. As the years went by, they began to have their differences and disagreements, although the conflicts were minor, until Keira sat alone at her mother’s funeral. She expected Vivian to be there at the ceremony, but she never showed. Hurt and betrayed, Keira wonders if she can ever forgive her childhood friend.
